Street Name Kerbstone Project

The street kerbstone project has now been completed, with 165 kerbstones installed throughout St Francis Bay. These new kerbstones replace the old street signs, which the municipality will soon remove.

Each kerbstone measures 1.2 metres and features the street name and SFPO logo in raised lettering. The result is a cleaner, more uniform look that improves navigation and enhances the aesthetic of our village. This project was the primary focus for the 2024–25 financial year and has been well-received by residents.

Recycling Over the Holiday Season

As the festive season approaches, please remember to use the Recycling Depot located behind the fire station.

 Barge Skippers’ Briefing

On Tuesday, 11 November, members of the St Francis Property Owners NPC met with local barge skippers for an informal project briefing. The goal was to ensure that all operators are familiar with the groyne construction schedule, the dredging process, sand sourcing, and other key details so that they can chat to clients with the correct information.

The meeting, led by Andrew Bowren and Craig Northwood, was constructive and informative. Thanks to all who attended and contributed.

Water Usage Reminder

Water consumption always spikes over summer, and this year’s dry winter hasn’t helped. August, September and October experienced low rainfall, so please use water sparingly over the next few months. Every drop saved makes a difference..

Pedestrian Walkway

The new pedestrian pathway along St Francis Drive is steadily taking shape. The leg from the golf course to Grand Comoros is now complete and already in use. This project is a partnership between the Kouga Business Forum, Rotary Club of St Francis, and the SFPO Association, which committed R100,000 toward construction.

Future phases will extend the path toward Neville Road, Main Beach, and eventually the Port. Businesses or individuals interested in sponsoring a section can contact the SFPO office.

Membership Renewals

It’s also a good time to renew your SFPO membership for the 2025–26 year. Annual voluntary membership costs R600, or R375 for pensioners. You can renew online via Payfast at stfrancispropertyowners.com/membership

Your support helps fund projects such as the Long-Term Coast Protection Scheme, kerbstone signage, walkways, and other coastal protection initiatives that keep St Francis Bay moving forward.
